My 6-Month Journey to Become a Junior Java Developer & Gen AI Enthusiast – Seeking Guidance & Motivation

Hi everyone, I’m 27 years old, and I’ve just made a decision that feels both exciting and intimidating. After finishing my Master’s degree, I’m dedicating the next 6 months to prepare myself for a job as a Junior Java Developer with a focus on Generative AI integration. I have zero programming experience and am starting from scratch. Despite the fear and doubt in my mind, I’m committed to making this journey work. I’ll be learning full-stack Java development along with exploring generative AI technologies and integrating them into my projects.

Here’s the plan I’ve put together: 1️⃣ Learn Full-Stack Java Development

Master core Java concepts

Learn backend technologies (Spring Boot, etc.)

Frontend with JavaScript, React.js

Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

REST APIs & Deployment

2️⃣ Dive into Generative AI

Learn about Generative AI tools & frameworks

Build small AI-powered projects

Integrate AI into Java applications

I know this is going to be a tough and challenging journey, and I’m nervous about starting from zero. But I’m determined to keep learning, growing, and applying myself to this field.
