Tales of Merlin and King Arthur Resurface After 750 Years, Hidden in a Bookbinding

In 2019, scholars at Cambridge University Library discovered an extremely rare 750-year-old text on the legends of King Arthur hiding in plain sight. A fragment of the fragile manuscript had been repurposed in the binding of a 16th-century property record, making it almost impossible to study the medieval text without dismantling and certainly damaging the record’s cover. Almost impossible—but not completely. An interdisciplinary team of scholars from the University of Cambridge used various advanced imaging techniques to create a virtual copy of the binding, allowing them to digitally unfold the rare text without having to damage it or the property

Should You Use Klarna on DoorDash to Buy Now, Pay Later?

I am undoubtedly the target audience for DoorDash’s new controversial partnership with Klarna, which allows customers to pay for items on the platform in four installments. There was a time when taking a loan out for pad thai would have tempted me.  It would have also gotten me into trouble. Ordering food online has always been my go-to guilty pleasure, and cutting it from my budget was one of my first personal #recessionindicators.  TAX SOFTWARE DEALS OF THE WEEK Deals are selected by the CNET Group commerce team, and may be unrelated to this article. I use these 3 kettlebell exercises to strengthen my core when I’m short on time and equipment — here’s why you’ll love them

When I’m short on time and equipment (often), I use a medium to heavy kettlebell and get to work strengthening my core muscles at home. These three kettlebell exercises will crop up in my routine because they target multiple muscle groups within the network of core muscles within the body and give my torso a great workout. For these moves, I recommend one of the best kettlebells for weightlifting. I would opt away from an adjustable kettlebell, but this type of weight can be useful if you know you need to change weights often. If you can, stick to the

I started using a Mac full time for work – but these are the things I missed from Windows 11 that made me switch back

I’ve been using Microsoft Windows since the days of Windows 3.1, but I’ve never loved the operating system. Instead, I’ve stuck with it over the decades mainly out of familiarity. I know how Windows works and when things break (which they continue to do all too often), I usually know how to fix things quickly. On the surface, there might not seem like there’s a lot in common between Windows 3.1 and Windows 11, but some things – especially legacy features added in Windows 95 – continue to work the way they’ve always done. While this causes problems – Windows

Always roll your clothes! 13 travel packing hacks to save you space and money – according to seasoned travellers | Travel

Packing is a fine art. No one wants to lug heavy bags around transport hubs or arrive at the other end to a chaotically stuffed bag full of creased clothes. But we all have our “essentials” to cram in. For some, that’ll be a full skincare routine or a semblance of a wardrobe; for others, it’ll be sports equipment (though you really should leave the weights at home). So whether you’re flying on an airline offering ever-dwindling luggage limits, trying to cram a car for the whole crew, or rushing between trains with a backpack, it really does pay to
