When does Amazon’s Big Spring Sale end?

Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is in full bloom, bringing sitewide discounts on a huge range of items. While the sale is billed as a seasonal event packed with deals on outdoor gear, spring cleaning necessities, and home decor, the Mashable Shopping team is also seeing steep price cuts on Apple devices, laptops, headphones, and other tech. The Big Spring Sale is Amazon’s first major savings event of the year, and it’s more than three times longer than the retailer’s flagship Prime Day sale in July. It’s also unlike Prime Day in that it’s not exclusive to Prime members — though they

Google will stop making the Nest Protect smoke alarm

Google is revamping its smart home lineup, ending production on two of its devices in favor of integrations with third-party manufacturers. First, it will sunset the Nest Protect smoke & CO alarms. Existing products will continue to function and receive security updates until their expiration dates. They will also remain available for purchase while supplies last. Second, it will end production for the Nest x Yale smart lock. As with the Nest Protect, the remaining inventory will still be available for purchase and the devices will continue receiving security updates. Rather than manufacture its own smoke alarm, Google announced that

Breast pump startup Willow acquires assets of Elvie as UK women’s health pioneer moves into administration

Women’s health and its startups building connected breast pumps, period trackers, and other apps and hardware designed for women have collectively pulled in more than $5 billion in funding in the last five years, but the market is tight, and now, two of the trailblazers in the space are coming together as consolidation beckons.  Willow, the San Francisco startup that made its name with wearable breast pumps, is acquiring Elvie, which started with a smart Kegel trainer before expanding to other products for new mothers, including its own breast pumps and most recently, a bassinet. Terms of the deal have

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is set to kick off a year of premium phones that spotlight a thin and light design. You need a backup plan for your phone — here’s how to pick between iCloud and Google Drive

If there’s one thing that I am generally terrible at, it’s remembering to back up all my data. And in my line of work, that has the potential to be a disaster. ‘Incel’ accounts using self-improvement language to avoid TikTok bans – study | TikTok

Advocates of “incel” ideology are rebranding as “Sub5s” and adopting the language of self-improvement to push their content on TikTok, according to a study. Hateful material is banned from the social media site but accounts disseminating the beliefs are said to be hiding behind new terms and “socially palatable” language. One of the fundamental tenets of the involuntary celibate, or incel, ideology is the belief that society is organised based on a looks-based hierarchy. Pseudo-scientific theories about self-improvement and attractiveness that are often misogynist in nature are now being promoted and “normalised”, it is claimed. Anda Iulia Solea, a researcher
