Beyond Notebook: Building Observable Machine Learning Systems

Key Takeaways A unified ML management system requires careful orchestration of multiple components, from experiment tracking with MLflow to model serving with FastAPI. Interactive visualization through Streamlit enables rapid prototyping, validation, and stakeholder communication, serving as both a development tool and a platform for model behavior analysis. Use containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for resource Management and scaling requirements, particularly for the monitoring service. The monitoring trinity (Prometheus, Grafana, and Evidently AI) provides comprehensive system observability by combining infrastructure metrics, visualization capabilities, and ML-specific monitoring to ensure reliable model performance. New SuperBlack ransomware exploits Fortinet auth bypass flaws

A new ransomware operator named ‘Mora_001’ is exploiting two Fortinet vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized access to firewall appliances and deploy a custom ransomware strain dubbed SuperBlack. The two vulnerabilities, both authentication bypasses, are CVE-2024-55591 and CVE-2025-24472, which Fortinet disclosed in January and February, respectively. When Fortinet first disclosed CVE-2024-55591 on January 14, they confirmed it had been exploited as a zero-day, with Arctic Wolf stating it had been used in attacks since November 2024 to breach FortiGate firewalls. Confusingly, on February 11, Fortinet added CVE-2025-2447 to their January advisory, which led many to believe it was a newly exploited flaw. However, Fortinet told BleepingComputer

Google wants to make every Android game playable on PC

Something to look forward to: Google launched a beta program for playing Android games on PC in 2022 and gradually expanded compatibility to include thousands of titles. The beta program for playing Android games on Windows PCs will soon become opt-out for developers, allowing users to try almost any mobile game on laptops and desktops. Furthermore, Google aims to make a limited selection of PC titles playable on Android devices. Developers initially had

Building ‘The Electric State’: The Russo Brothers Share Their Vision

The Electric State is Netflix’s latest big-budget sci-fi adventure film. The movie, which premiered Friday on the streamer, is an adaptation of Simon Stålenhag‘s dystopian graphic novel. It’s set in a very different-looking America amid the backdrop of a country still putting itself together after a civil war between robots and humans tore cities apart. If that sounds bleak, it’s because the original subject matter is exactly that. Stålenhag’s story, like much of his work, is laden with beautiful imagery that offsets a sorrowful narrative. In The Electric State, Millie Bobby Brown

Apple will soon support encrypted RCS messaging with Android users

iPhone and Android users will be able to exchange end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) RCS messages in the near future thanks to newly updated RCS specifications. The GSM Association announced that the latest RCS standard includes E2EE based on the Messaging Layer Security (MLS) protocol, enabling interoperable encryption between different platform providers for the first time. The GSM Association said it had started working to enable E2EE on messages sent between Android and iPhone in September last year. E2EE is a privacy and security feature that prevents third parties, such as messaging providers or cell carriers, from viewing the content of your
