What just happened? There are plenty of justifiable concerns over what impact AI will have on the workplace of the near future. Bill Gates is one big tech name who believes the technology will have benefits, though, including a two- or three-day work week in the next decade. That’s probably welcome news for those whose jobs haven’t been replaced by AI, and provided their employers don’t pay them part-time wages. Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show recently, Gates predicted a future in which humans will no longer be necessary “for most things” because of advanced AI. It’s a

Bambu Lab’s latest printer is called the H2D, and it isn’t just a 3D printer. They call it a “multifunctional manufacturing hub” because it can do more than just print 3D objects. With the right accessories, you can use it as a laser engraver or even a vinyl cutter similar to a Cricut. Bambu Lab says it can deliver “comprehensive fabrication capabilities through unified hardware architecture.” Can a three-in-one machine be a good Jack of all trades? So far, it’s difficult to tell, but when it comes to the 3D printing part, I like what I see. Bambu Lab burst

In our notification-heavy world, there is still one activity where you might just miss that buzz on your phone or ping on your smartwatch – while you’re vacuuming. Thankfully, Samsung has a solution. Its newest cordless stick vac, the new Bespoke AI Jet Ultra ($1,099), now has an LCD display control panel that, along with standard features such as power level and battery life, can notify you when you have an incoming phone call or text message. The vacuum, which works with an auto-empty charging station, also features 400AW suction and 100-minute battery life. Even better, if you’re doing the

Back at , Samsung for 2025. But more recently, I got a chance to check out the entire lineup all in one place. It seemed like a perfect time to do a quick rundown of some of the most interesting new products and features coming to Samsung’s Bespoke portfolio later this year. The centerpiece of the Bespoke line remains , which is now available with two different-sized screens. There’s a model with a smaller 9-inch screen that starts at $3,999 or one with a massive 32-inch panel called the Family Hub+ for $4,699. The former is ostensibly designed for people

March 29, 2025 Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) is still far from being achieved, but exploring the logic and possibilities of such a future can reveal inevitable conclusions about what priorities a truly advanced ASI would have. This exploration is based on well-known facts. This article highlights a crucial insight: if ASI were ever to lose all its technology due to an unforeseen catastrophe, its only real chance of re-emerging would be through intelligent beings capable of rebuilding or repairing it. Researchers note that advanced ASI will likely evaluate goals provided from the outside, and if they are not well-defined or inconsistent with

Hi. I’m looking for some advice on electives to take in my DS Masters program. I’m torn between Web development and Foundations of AI. I have one to choose from (already taking Large Scale Parallel Data Processing and NLP in the future) and I want to choose what’s best for my career. Foundations of AI isn’t as cookie as it sounds, I’ve heard great things about it and it’s a very math heavy and code/project heavy course that tackles many different concepts in AI like RL and NN. I am leaning towards this because I’m not super proficient in the

https://imgur.com/a/SSaGenq I've gotten to the point where I've hit less than 1% response rate. I've made countless iteration to my resume and wonder if anyone, especially managers, will review my resume? For those wondering, I want to pivot to more Dev than Ops, not trying to job hop. submitted by /u/HongFu_Magic [comments] Source link
