This research has been conducted using UK Biobank resources under Application Number 57952. For our analyses, we used both the primary and hospital inpatient care diagnosis records made available via the UK Biobank study64. We started from 451,265 patients with available hospital inpatient care data. For each patient, a diagnosis sequence was constructed by interleaving the hospital inpatient care data with any available primary care data based on their timestamps.
